It’s hard for us to fathom the strength your son showed in dying.
For He really died.
And today, let us remember that you know death.
You know it as a father.
You know it as a son.
You know it as a friend.
You know it.
And today as we see dying things in ourselves, in our community, in our family – let us remember you understand.
Dying God, we know death is not the final page.
But we also know it is a page.
We know death and it makes us tired.
Father, may we throw off our fatigue, as we feel your hands – the ones that have known death.
Dying God, remind us you know us in life and death.
