Search us today.
You see the dust and broken things.
You see the rust and want for more.
You see our fears and our love of things.
You see our hopes and broken faith.
Yet, searching God, you are also a sustaining God.
You search but not do not scoff at our poverty.
You search and then you whisper the covenant vows.
And we weep remembering that you do not leave, do not forsake, and do not abandon.
What greater love is this, searching God?
Remind us as we search today.
Remind us that you sought us, seek us, and will forever sustain us.
