Morning Prayer: April 8th

Living God,

Forgive us for acting as if you are dead.

We complain as if you are not still acting.
We are in despair as if you are not still living.
We seeks trivial things as if your presence is not available.

Living God, we have had a love affair with the world.
We love so passionately the things of dust that we have only fatigue to give you.
We do not hate the things of this world and therefore do not love the things of heaven.

Remind us that you live.

Remind us that you see us.

Remind us that you beat death so you could marry your bride.

Remind us, living God, that you are our reward.

Living and breathing and seeing and acting God, let us live today believing you are so.

Amen.
