remembering our frame

“A man’s steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand his own way?”

(Proverbs 20:24)

Israel was always trying to understand.
Adam tried to understand.
Eve attempted to understand.

And sin is always nearest when we believe we can know what God has not revealed. Perhaps you, even now, believe “if I just knew!”, “if I just could understand.”

Friend, remember your frame. Remember who knit you.

Remember that you did not knit yourself.

This knitter; He stands mysteriously directing our heart, planning our steps, guiding our every way. You will go mad if you try to cling to your God and your need to understand.

Will you take God at His word, Christian? Will you trust Him with your today? Will you believe that his promises for you will play out in the middle of your confusion?

Let us cling tightly to His robes. Don’t let your King out of sight.

He will guide you. He will move. He will not leave you.

Remember.
