There were some times he felt cold.
He asked his sister this, “Do you ever feel cold towards someone?”
“Brother, you can’t feel that way – a temperature feeling.”
She snickered again.
But he did ache that way.
Not unkind, or angry, or upset, but ice.
How else could he twist his tongue to say the right words?
He had always been warm so this felt unnatural.
Not like him.
