I’m proud of you. I just wanted to tell you. I know it’s not your birthday or Christmas but this morning I woke up thankful for you.
I’m proud of your tender heart when someone is hurt.
I’m proud of the way you feel things. You feel deeply. You can thank Dad for that. Remember you have a God that feels deeply too.
I’m proud of the way you use humor. Not very many people are brave enough to use humor the way you do: selfless and in order to make people feel accepted. You include people with your humor and people notice.
I’m proud of the way you want everyone together. You like our family in one place. And you know what, I think we have a Father that wants the same thing: all of His kids in one place.
I’m proud of the way you go to bat for others. You’re a fighter; not because you like violence but because you hate the violence done to others. Some people don’t understand the difference. It’s OK.
I’m proud of the way you think. I can tell you want to do the right thing. It pains you to think of wronging others and I admire you for this.
I’m proud of the way you train. You like things done well and your work shows this. Congrats on making the varsity soccer team by the way.
I admire you Daniel. And I just want you to know that I could never have dreamed up a better brother.
