Beaten brow and bended knee,
does the Savior come to thee,
do you think of his tree,
do you ponder his beckoning?
Slowly fleeting frost and dust,
does your heart shake the snow,
do you feel the earth stretch bright,
do you feel the resurrection’s might?
Hardened heart and folded hands,
do you remember David’s prayer,
does the cry of mercy ring,
do you see the thread completed at Calvary?
Holy saint-because of Him,
remember who you are this day,
ye may be flesh but that is not all,
Christ has clothed ye since the fall.
